AUSTRALIS CRUISES

The Australis cruises, provides the experience of travel to the most famous places in Southern Patagonia., including the Magellan Strait, Tierra del Fuego Island ,the Beagle Channel., and the Cape Horn as you journey through waters of the southern ocean, which are home to whales, dolphins, penguins, and a rich variety of sea-birds. You will be in owe of the wild beauty of the area, largely uninhabited and untouched by civilization, as you follow many of the routes of Charles during his exploration in the 1830’s.

The cruises Mare Asutralis and Via Australis, include approaches and visits to many glaciers along the coast, the small town of Puerto Williams on the Chilean Island of Navarino, the world southernmost permanent settlement and the Argentine port of Ushuaia on the Beagle Channel. The disembark at Cape Horn is one of the highlights of the cruises

Lecturers on board give comprehensive briefings of   the history flora and fauna of the region.

Both vessels, the Mare and Via Australis operate a four-day cruise which starts in Punta Arenas and travels to Ushuaia in Argentina. A similar but shorter cruise of 3 nights starts in Ushuaia and ends in Punta Arenas
