Itinerary

Day 1: Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales Arrive in Punta Arenas airport. Transfer by coach for Puerto Natales (4-hr drive). Overnight in Puerto Natales on the shores of Ultima Esperanza Fjord. |
Day 2: Puerto Natales - Paine National Park Full day tour to Paine National Park. Travel northwards to visit the Mylodon Cave, where the remains of the prehistoric giant sloth were found 2 centuries ago. Continue through wild scenery, passing del Toro Lake, Sarmiento Lake and Laguna Amarga, with its beautiful emerald colours. The tour proceeds towards Lake Grey driving along Pehoe and Nordenskjold lakes and visiting the falls at Salto Grande and Salto Chico. Drive to the shore of Lake Grey from where the floating ice of the glacier can be seen. Drive to Laguna Amarga, for a transfer to Las Torres Hosteria. Stay for 1 night. |
Day 3: Paine National Park - Puerto Natales Day free until 6 pm with time to walk to the base of the Paine Towers or just admire the magnificent scenery. Transfer to Puerto Natales and stay for one night. |
Day 4: Puerto Natales - Punta Arenas Morning departure by coach to Punta Arenas airport for onward travel.

Puerto Natales Early departure for a full day tour to Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier. We navigate the Ultima Esperanza fjord towards the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. First we sight Mount Balmaceda and its fjord – the mountain rises some 2005 metres out of the sea. We disembark at Puerto Toro and we start a walk among native forests to the Serrano Glacier. Time to admire the beautiful lake located at the end of the Glacier. We continue to Mount. Balmaceda lodge for lunch (not included). On the way back to Puerto Natales we will navigate on the left side of the fjord along imposing cliffs where condor can be spotted.
During the navigation we should also see sea lion colonies. Arrive in Puerto Natales Around 5 pm. Stay for 1 night |
