Itinerary |
| Day 1: Arica. Arrive in Arica, reception and transfer to El Paso hotel located by the beach. Rest of the day at leisure. |
Day 2: Arica - Putre During the morning visit to Azapa Archaeological Museum, containing artefacts and mummies from the Chinchorro culture. You will also have the opportunity to view the valley’s important geoglyphs. Time for lunch. In the afternoon we leave for Putre. As we commence to climb into the Andes,
there are impressive canyon views. En route we visit the small village of Socoroma, then to continue to Putre located at an altitude of 3,500 m. Dinner and overnight at Las Vicuñas Hosteria.

Day 3: Putre-Arica Departure for Lauca National Park. The first stop is at Chungara Lake, located at 4,550 m / 14,924 feet, making it the highest in the world. The lake offers a great number and variety of birds and the area is also home to Andean camelidaes: llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and guanacos. Visit to Parinacota, a very small picturesque village which is today inhabited only during the carnival and religious feasts. Late in the afternoon return to Arica. Stay for 1 night at El Paso Hotel. |
Day 4: Arica Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
